The banya by the pond
One banya for all the houses, so each house gets its own evening. After the steam room guests go into the pond from the jetty, then drink herbal tea.
How it works
Each house has its own evening
- 01
A log cabin by the pond
A 3×4 m banya on the shore, up to six people at a time.
- 02
A three-hour session
Sign up on the board in the dining house or by messenger.
- 03
Everything ready
A heated banya, sheets, hats, tea and a broom for each person.
- 04
The pond
After the steam room, into the water from the jetty. No swimming at night or after alcohol.
Banya ritual
A session with a bath master
As in Estonia and Finland, a master leads the session: works with brooms and herbs, pours water, brews tea and tells the story of the banya. It is a separate service for those who want more than just a steam.

Brooms
We tie the brooms ourselves
Birches grow nearby, so the brooms are our own, and in summer tying them becomes an activity for guests.

- 01
June and July
We cut birch twigs while the leaf is young and strong.
- 02
Tying
Thick twigs inside, thin ones outside, the handle wrapped with twine.
- 03
Drying
One to two weeks in the shade under the barn roof.
- 04
Workshop
A guest ties their own broom and takes it home.
