Bison trips
In Belarus European bison live free in a few forests. A herd of 20–40 animals on a frosty field at dawn can be seen in only a handful of places in Europe. In winter the bison come out to the fields every day, a time when farm stays are usually empty.

How we make it
How we make it
The trip rests on one piece of knowledge: where the herd is this morning. Camera traps provide it, and the rest is craft: a hide at the forest edge, a quiet approach and strict distance rules.
Scouting
From November to March, 3–4 camera traps with 4G stand where the herd comes out to the fields. We keep a log of where and when.
The map
After two months we have a "bison by the hour" map: where the herd comes out and at what time.
Agreement
We agree the route and the tower site with the forestry office. The forestry office is our partner.
The tower
A wooden hide 4–5 m high at the forest edge: 500–800 BYN.

How we serve it

The guest gets two hours on a frosty field and a hot breakfast afterwards, and the farm stay gets a full winter. In Poland a similar trip costs 300–600 zloty, and there is often a queue.
